I know as a reader when I made the switch to only reading Christian fiction, I was bummed thinking I had to let go of all my favorite paranormal stories and fantasy. But that isn’t true!
I’ve discovered so many great authors who deliver great vampire books for adults but still connect them back to their faith. This is usually done by including themes like good vs. evil, eternal life, redemption, and forgiveness.

Well, there are tons of examples of vampires in mainstream fiction, there are not a lot of Christian authors out there writing about this sub-genre.
Vampires are traditionally seen as creatures of darkness who are evil, and while some Christian authors have gone this route, some have chosen a path of redemption for this fantasy character. As this paranormal genre grows, more and more Christians are writing to include this element in their stories.
Two notable Christian vampire books include Immanuel’s Veins by Ted Dekker and Thirsty by Tracey Bateman. Both authors approach the concept of vampirism differently, which makes them both great reads.

The plot is creepy and unique, but the characters are well-crafted. The book poses the question, “Who can you trust when you can’t tell the difference between reality and fantasy?”

🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? Have you ever wanted to read an Amish vampire story, well this isn’t the only one on the list! This book was such an interesting combination that I had to pick it up.
It is a mix of a love triangle and the classic battle between good vs evil. Leanna did a great job of pairing biblical scripture throughout the book, and the short chapters made this a quick read.
That we’re not dealing with your ordinary serial killer. More the Twilight kind. And this one isn’t a vegetarian.

🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? Ted Dekker is an amazing author of the paranormal and this book does not disappoint. It had castles, epic love, battles, and of course vampires. I really loved the setting in this book and the cast of characters was well developed.

Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider by Ellen C. Maze

Vampires aren’t real, but the Rakum are. They are a very old race of vampire-like creatures who have been doing bad things to people for thousands of years.
When writer Beth Rider’s book series becomes very popular, the leader of the Rakum gets angry because Beth’s story is bringing Rakum to Christ. They want to catch Beth Rider. She’s running away and trying hard to stay safe. In the end, it’s a fight to the death for Beth and the Rakum, or if Beth wins, it’s a fight to stop the Rakum from being evil forever.
🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? I can guarantee you haven’t read a fantasy story like this before. The social structure of the Rakum and humans is so well thought out and I LOVED the concept of a paranormal Christian author converting Rakum to Christianity through her writing.
The characters had so much depth and the plot line kept me reading late into the night. It is definitely a must-read for your Christian vampire books TBR.

Together, they must have courage and faith to succeed and ultimately answer the question of what would happen if a vampire accepted God.
🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? The gothic and historical vampire book setting of Prague is the perfect backdrop for this storyline. I fell in love with the characters and loved that the author included multiple POVs. It’s the clean alternative to Twilight.
Generations crying out for meaning in their life, for something to believe in beyond themselves, and afraid or unable to embrace faith. Tragedy is all around us.

🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? Eric Wilson combined both the dark grittiness of vampire novels written by Anne Rice and added a deeply biblical perspective that is fascinating to read. This paranormal novel has a large cast of characters that have great dialogue and there was lots of action.
I loved how Eric tied in biblical events to events that are happening in modern Israel. Overall, the series as a whole is great to read, and you will leave this fictional world with a new perspective.

Thirsty by Tracey Bateman

Nina faces several challenges as she begins her alcohol recovery journey. She must confront her ex-husband, attempt to repair her relationship with her daughter, and return to her hometown in Missouri. However, her past comes back to haunt her when she discovers something dangerous. All of these factors could threaten her sobriety.
To add to the mix, Nina also meets a new neighbor named Markus, but she is unsure if she can trust him. She must work hard to maintain her sobriety and not give in to her addiction. Can she overcome these obstacles, or will her addiction prevail?
🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? I think this is a great place to start if you still aren’t sure if Christian vampire books will be good to read. Well, there is some vampire violence, this story really focuses on Nina and her struggle with addiction, spiritual warfare, and the power of God’s redemption in our lives.

This is because Mara stands in the way of the master vampire’s plan for world domination and may be a key player in the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy foretelling his destruction.
🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? This is another catholic vampire story for this epic list of Christian vampire books! Mara is strong in her faith in God throughout the story and I really loved the dialogue. This is an Insta-love story, but I honestly think it worked well for the plot and made it more fun to read.

Man of Shadow and Mist by Michelle Griep

Some people in North Yorkshire believe in vampires, but librarian Rosa Edwards wants to disprove these superstitions. James dislikes everything about England, but he must stay because his mother is dying from a disease that he is trying to cure.
Rosa tries to prove that the dark rumors about James are wrong but finds more questions than answers. Well, James battles a town steeped in fear as well as his unsettling attraction for the no-nonsense librarian.
🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? This is my non-vampire, vampire story recommendation! There are actually no real vampires in this book, but the idea (and fear) about these night creatures is very much present throughout the book.
It has a gothic setting with the perfect addition of friends to more trope and a riveting mystery. You can tell this book was very well-researched and I loved the nod to Bram Stoker.

🧛 Why should you read this vampire book? This is the book you never thought would be written but was. When I first saw this title I admit I was a little thrown off, but this sci-fi book was surprisingly good. The plot line was very well thought out that you could almost believe that this could actually happen.
I fell in love with the characters and they had great development. Plus, there are multiple POVs which is always one of my favorite things to read. This book has a great deeper message of faith than you would believe from the title.
