We all have at some point struggled with feeling abandoned by God, and the author did a great job writing about this complex topic.

Why read this regency romance? I loved the added element of spies, murder, and the revolutionary war which you don’t get to read a lot in Christian regency romance novels. This is the last book in a trilogy series but it is technically a standalone book.

Why read this regency romance? This is book is for readers who want a hard-to-love character. There is amazing growth for Marcus, and I loved the portrayal of imperfect characters because it was closer to real life. The Christian message was very inspiring and uplifting to read.
